Dear Spring Day teachers,

On 25 March, the Spring Day for Europe campaign was officially opened by EU Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou, during a special event taking place at the European School of Uccle (Brussels). Spring Day has just opened the participation to new activities and competitions. All registered teachers are invited to take part with their classrooms!

On 25 March, Androulla Vassiliou – EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth – officially opened the 2010 edition of Spring Day for Europe, discussing the initiative with a group of 16 year-old students from the European School of Uccle (Brussels) and highlighting the project’s contribution to enhancing education across Europe.

2000 schools are now registered in Spring Day for Europe!
On 22 March, Şcoala cu clasele I- VIII, Lucăceşti, Romania, was the 2000th school to register in the Spring Day campaign. in 2010, Spring Day aims to encourage students and teachers to debate and know more about Europe, focusing on "European citizenship and fundamental rights".

Spring Day offers a number of pedagogical activities helping teachers integrate European themes into their school curricula.

This year, Spring Day invites teachers with their students to take part in four challenging competitions. Tailored by age groups, the competitions can be adapted to different teaching and learning needs.

Register your Spring Day Event!
Spring Day invites you to register and publish your event on the Spring Day portal. If you are one of the first 1000 schools to register an event, we will send you a wonderful Spring Day kit to help you organise the event.

To give your students an opportunity for sharing their views with an high level expert, invite a Special Guest to visit your School. You can register on our website to access information about all the potential guests and to indicate your availability for the visits.
